Ideas, Execution & Accountability

Many people struggle with consistently activating and executing their goals, and it’s okay to feel that way. But it’s important to understand that accountability is key to achieving your goals. It’s not just about having a great idea, but executing it with high-level accountability.

You might wonder how successful people handle accountability. Some have tried group coaching, but it often falls apart due to conflicts of interest. However, creating accountability for yourself is always an option.

For instance, you can create a pain point for yourself that’s big enough to force you to do it, whether it’s with another human or something you create together. In coaching, accountability is crucial, as it’s never surprising when someone completes their homework before a coaching session.

It’s challenging to create accountability in today’s world, where there are too many dopamine hits available for nothing. We’ve substituted social media for dopamine hits, but we should focus on getting things done, just as we did historically.

To create accountability, you must think creatively. For example, you can hold yourself accountable by setting a big figure, such as $10,000, which you will donate to a charity of choice if you fail to achieve your goal. Over-communicating accountability can also help, and you can create accountability in social settings.

In summary, accountability is the key to executing your goals. Creating accountability for yourself is possible, and it requires being thoughtful and creative. By setting pain points, over-communicating accountability, and holding yourself accountable, you can achieve your goals.
