7 Creative Marketing Strategies to Breakthrough to Recruits

Ever feel like getting a recruit to engage is like pulling teeth?

You’re not alone.

Today, I want to share about tackling the busyness barrier.

The Challenge: Busyness

We live in a world where “busy” is worn like a badge of honor.

I used to feel guilty if I wasn’t busy.

But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized that true success isn’t about being busy—it’s about being effective.

As recruiting leaders, we constantly face the challenge of cutting through the noise and getting people to engage.

Whether it’s starting a conversation or closing the deal, busyness can be a major obstacle.

Breaking the Pattern

One key to overcoming this is to think creatively and break the pattern of busyness.

It’s about catching attention in a way that stands out.

Here are some strategies I’ve used and coached others to use successfully:

Creative Ideas to Cut Through the Noise

1. Personalized URLs: I’d buy personalized domains like [FirstName]LovesLending.com and send them with a note: “Hey, came across this cool website and thought of you. What’s a good email to transfer it to?”

2. Starbucks QR Codes: Send a $5 Starbucks QR code with a message: “Thought of you while grabbing my coffee. Enjoy a cup on me tomorrow!”

3. Books with a Personal Touch: Pick up a great book, snap a pic with a cool backdrop, and send it with a note: “Picked this up and thought of you. Enjoy!”

4. Snippet and Thought Bubbles: Use a tool like Snippet to grab a picture of your recruit from LinkedIn and add a thought bubble: “Hey [FirstName], call me back!”

5. Voice Messages on Social Media: Leave voice messages on Facebook Messenger or video messages on LinkedIn. BombBomb is a great tool for this.

6. Special Deliveries: Send something unique like a Chicago-style pizza or a BBQ meal delivered in dry ice. Imagine the surprise when it arrives at their door!

7. TEDx Talks: Compile a list of the top 10 TEDx talks for their industry and share it with them. It’s a thoughtful and valuable gesture.

8. Audible Book Recommendations: Use Audible’s feature to gift a book you’ve listened to. It’s a unique way to share knowledge and break the pattern.

Action Plan

Identify three of these ideas and test them.

Remember, an idea not acted upon within 24 hours is a dead idea.

Implement these strategies and watch how they transform your recruiting game.

Final Thoughts

Breaking through busyness is crucial.

These creative ideas will help you engage more people in meaningful conversations.

Let’s disrupt the rhythm of busyness together!
