There’s a reason we wrote the book on building your personal brand and the power of social media (in our book, How to Dominate Recruiting in a Digital World).
We believe that people don’t join companies; they join great leaders.
And in this day and age, one of the best ways to showcase your leadership skills and attract top talent is through social media.
And job searchers are no different.
They are vetting your online presence and asking the critical question: “Are you a leader that is worth following?”
If you’re reading this, I will take a huge leap of faith and guess the answer is yes.
So, how can you showcase who you are to potential recruits?
Show them through social media.
That may seem like a trick answer. Because how often have you posted something online for it to get no likes, no comments, and no engagement?
But if that doesn’t get likes (other than from your coworkers & close friends), then what does?
As a social media professional, the first thing I do when joining any social media platform is look at the engagement with posts that catch my attention.
And that’s because: People identify with people – not companies.
This is something that we have seen over and over on our social media clients’ posts. Personal stories, images, and notes will always get more engagement than company-related posts.
We’ve put together this list of over 1,000 prompts & starters that we’ve used with our social media clients and have seen increased engagement with them!
And as a bonus, we built a social media tracker like the ones we use for our clients to help you find recruiting success in 2023!
We hope you enjoy!
