I have recruited and coached loan officers in the past; however, it’s not been an area I consider myself an expert in until I crossed paths with Richard Milligan. Richard has showed me a unique-to-me way to attract and recruit top mortgage talent. Typically, I would offer a prospective recruit the best service, rates, products, and transition compensation by way of cold call.
Now, Richard is coaching me on unique and authentic reasons why an expert loan officer might want to take a closer look at what I have to offer and approach a recruit through a warm call – everything I would respond to when looking back over the times I was recruited during my career.
Currently I am in the middle of coaching with Richard and there are no tricks. I’ve learned methods of bringing out who I really am and packaging and delivering it to a prospective recruit filling a need that he or she didn’t realize they had. I highly recommend taking full advantage of what Richard has to offer while he is offering it.
Hi Richard, wanted you to know I made 8 calls today and set 2 appointments and those were the only 2 that answered the phone.
Here's the best part though, both of them told me that they really liked my approach to asking for a meeting and one of them said it was the best and most unique meeting request he's ever heard. He pulled up his calendar right then and searched for a day we both had available and set the appointment.

I would not say this lightly- There are few moments in time that I would consider life-changing, but my time with Richard is one of them. I have been in the mortgage industry for 26 years and Richard has changed my perspective on everything.
